I'm from a small town, but was often lonely. So I decided to try my luck at finding that special someone elsewhere. I snuck away at midnight and jumped on the first train I could find going anywhere. I met a boy on that trip, in a smoke-filled dinner car halfway back from the bathroom. He was from south Detroit, and was lonely like me. Said he had a cousin in Vegas and was going to live with him. Course, the only reason his cousin was letting him was to help cover old dice debts. Anyways, we got drunk, listening to a lady four rows down sing old blues songs. Shared the night together, just that one time. Then he was gone, a streetlight's shadow, slowly walking away down the boulevard, into the night. I hope someday to find love. The hard part is to never stop believing, but holding onto that feeling of hope. Till then, I'll keep waiting, continuing my Journey. Also, I've since changed my mind about boys. Girls for me, please!
