The Pembroke Welsh Corgi (IPA: /ˈkɔrgi/) is a herding dog breed originating in Pembrokeshire, Wales. It is one of two breeds known as Welsh Corgis: the other is the Cardigan Welsh Corgi. The Corgi is the smallest dog in the Herding Group. Pembroke Welsh Corgis are famous for being the preferred breed of dog of Queen Elizabeth II of the United Kingdom; she reportedly has 4 of them. These dogs have been a favoured dog by British royalty for more than 70 years.
